The Whistler Skating Club is a member of Skate Canada, the oldest and largest figure skating organization in the world and the governing body for the sport of figure skating in Canada. We have been a non profit sports organization since 1993.
Whistler Skating Club is fun on ice for all ages and abilities. We offer skating lessons for beginners up to competitive levels of figure skating, including adults.Our skaters range in age between 5 and 60. We have something for everyone.

For children aged 2-4
The CanSkate stream is Canada's learn-to-skate program for beginners.
What to Expect - Action, movement and fun! Lessons are given in a group format with a coach-to-student ratio of a maximum 1:10. Skaters progress at their own rate and coaches make sessions active using teaching aids, upbeat music and a wide variety of activities that create a motivational environment and promote learning.

Skaters will build on fundamental skating skills for playing hockey . The sessions will coached by our Skate Canada certified coaches.

This skating program is tailored to young skaters 5 to 9 years of age who show interest and ability beyond the recreational level. STAR Academy allows skaters to develop their skills and techniques in a smaller group setting. A dedicated coach guides the students through various skating skills each week and allows skaters to evolve their unique skill set within the Skate Canada program.

Take it further, enjoy competition in a safe and healthy environment, and develop high level skating skills. STARSkate has been the mainstay of figure skating in Canada for more than four decades. The STARSkate program consists of figure skating skills in four areas – Skating Skills, Ice Dance, Free Skate and Interpretive, with skaters having the opportunity to be assessed (tested) at various level of progression.

The Whistler Skating Club is working to offer programming that meets the diverse needs of the adults and teens in our community. Our categories include: Adult Skills Development, Adult CanSkate “Learn to Skate”, and for those who enjoy skating in a team environment and participating in competitions, we have an adult synchronized skating team
